MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
APRIL 9, 1992
Smith suggested that he could not surface the parking
lot since MN Pollution Control will have to authorize
its being covered up.
DeLonais reported that this is the responsibility of
Mr. Smith and the property owner. DeLonais stated that
he wanted to see these improvements addressed and not
delayed any further.
A June 1st deadline was suggested for the various
improvements.
The Planner felt this reasonable and pointed out that
the improvements that should be included as Phase 1 and
subject to the June 1st deadline are listed as
recommendations 2, 5, 7, 8, and 9 in his March 9, 1992
report. The Planner also suggested that the center
island on Rice Street be removed and one driveway
created, rather than two.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the Conditional
Use Permit to conduct an auto repair business at 2822
Rice Street subject to the recommendations of the City
Planner as outlined in his report dated March 9, 1992
and subject to Recommendations No. 2, 5, 7, 8, and 9 as
outlined in that same report being completed by June 1,
1992.
Motion seconded by Carson.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
TRUSCOTT Ms. Mary Holm, representing Ronald Truscott, appeared
PROPERTY before the Commission requesting approval to divide the
DIVISION property at 353 Rose Lane into two lots.
DeLonais pointed out that the City Planner is requiring
the removal or relocation of the existing garage that
would be on the newly created to a lot with a principal
structure. DeLonais pointed out that in the Sykes
property division there was a shed on the newly created
lot, and the Planner did not impose this requirement.
It was noted that the Planner has asked that
verification be provided that the existing house was
constructed prior to 1980.
Holm reported that she has submitted the original plans
of the existing house to the Building Inspector. Also,
County tax records indicate that the house was
constructed in 1949.
Page 3
