MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 9, 1992 <br />tabled and that the developer be instructed to meet <br />with the neighbors to discuss their proposal prior to <br />the next Planning Commission meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Drabik. <br />Motion failed 2 - 4. Herkenhoff and Drabik voted in <br />favor. Garske, Pedersen, Keis, and Carson voted <br />against. <br />Garske recommended that the application for Preliminary <br />and Final Plat for Yorkton Ridge West as presented by <br />Heritage Development of MN be approved subject to the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his <br />report dated July 2, 1992 and advising the developer to <br />make a good faith effort to meet with the neighbors to <br />resolve their concerns with the development. <br />Motion seconded by Pedersen. <br />Motion carried 4 - 2. Drabik and Herkenhoff voted <br />against. <br />Herkenhoff recommended that the City address the noise <br />and lighting concerns with St. Jude Medical for their <br />property in Yorkton Industrial Park and have any <br />ordinance violations in this regard corrected. <br />Motion seconded by Keis. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />CUP FOR The City Planner reported that Steven and Heather <br />ACCESSORY Sutton, 3001 Payne Avenue, have applied for a <br />STORAGE Conditional Use Permit for an accessory storage <br />BUILDING building more than 120 square feet in size. The <br />SUTTON Planner reported that the building would be used for <br />storage purposes only. <br />Garske asked if approval would be setting a precedent. <br />The Planner replied that a precedent would be set, <br />however, pointed out that the building would be used <br />for residential storage. <br />Drabik asked if the City can dictate the exterior <br />appearance of the building. <br />The Planner replied that it could. The Planner <br />reported that the exterior must be compatible to the <br />residential area, and the City could require that it be <br />sided to match the house.
