MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 8, 1992
Page 5
nice business development that would be kept up.
Siebenaler pointed out that the property owners in the
area went along with the PUD a few years ago, and at
that time there was the indication that Loren
Brueggemann would be buying out the property owners for
his office- warehouse development. Siebenaler pointed
out that Brueggemann has only bought the raw land, and
the remaining property owners are still waiting.
DeLonais pointed out that the Planning Commission is
not opposed to the proposal before it, but must ensure
that certain conditions and standards are met.
DeLonais suggested that concerns about the Brueggemann
development be addressed to the City Council.
Olson questioned why the Planner did not raise the
issues outlined in his report at the two meetings that
where held with him.
Alan Hunting indicated that Steve Grittman did meet
with the applicants, and he believed Grittman did raise
these issues.
Olson disagreed. Olson stated that Grittman did
request a site plan, Olson prepared the one before the
Commission which Grittman told him to submit, and then
indicated that he thought there would be no problem
with the request.
Herkenhoff pointed out that the site plan submitted
does not show the parking, landscaping or screening of
outdoor storage. Herkenhoff explained that there are
certain requirements that must be met, and the Planning
Commission must review applications and look at what is
best for the community. Herkenhoff stated that if
ordinance requirements can be met, the Planning
Commission will not oppose an application.
Siebenaler reported that it is very frustrating to deal
with the City of Little Canada. Siebenaler reported
that one person says one thing, and another something
else. Siebenaler pointed out that the property in
question has been heavily assessed for the second time.
There are over $20,000 in assessments on the property.
Siebenaler reported that there is someone interested in
purchasing the property, and the Frattalone children
and Irene Frattalone wish to sell it. Mr. Brueggemann
has not expressed an interest in the property, nor has
he returned phone calls. Siebenaler believed that
Precision Tree would be a good business to have in the
community. Siebenaler reported that they wish to sell
the property and be done with it.
DeLonais explained that there are certain ordinances
which must be complied with, and the Commission must
consider the appearance of the property and its effect
