MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 8, 1992
CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT
PRECISION
TREE
2929
COUNTRY DR.
Keis explained that the park charge is either 10% of
the land or $400 per single- family lot. Keis
anticipated that the $400 would be collected in this
case. It was noted that the park charge is collected
at the time of building permit application.
Mr. Herkenhoff recommended approval of the lot split
requested by Joyce Fagley for 3075 Edgerton Street
subject to the recommendations of the City Planner as
contained in his October 5, 1992 report.
Motion seconded by Carson.
Motion approved 7 - 0.
Mr. John Olson, Precision Tree, appeared before the
Commission requesting approval of a Conditional Use
Permit to allow outdoor storage in conjunction with a
landscaping business at 2929 Country Drive. Olson
reported that he is in the process of purchasing the
property for his business location, and would be
parking business vehicles behind the existing garage.
Olson pointed out that there are existing trees and
brush that would remain to screen the vehicles on the
south. Olson reported that it is not his intention to
clear the property.
Olson reported that he only just received a copy of the
Planner's report this evening. Olson was concerned
that he met with the Planner on two different
occasions, and requirements mentioned in the Planner's
report were never mentioned. Olson stated that he saw
no need for the curb and gutter that the Planner is
recommending.
DeLonais noted that the recommendations listed by the
Planner are requirements under the ordinance.
Keis pointed out the intent is to bring the property up
to a certain level. Any new development coming in must
meet certain standards.
Kathy Siebenaler Frattalone pointed out that 2929
Country Drive is one of the few houses remaining on
Country Drive. Siebenaler felt that rather than having
renters in the property, it was preferable to have a
Page 2
Page 4
