Hanson <br />RE: Request for Preparation of Feasibility Reports for <br />1993 Road Improvements <br />As you know, the City is contemplating a significant number <br />of improvements for construction in 1993. They are as <br />follows: <br />Vanderbie /Allen Project $621,696 <br />Ryan Industrial Park Road Improvements 250,000 <br />Costa Lane Improvements 239,380 <br />Total: $1,111,076 <br />Another factor is the outcome of the Edgerton water main <br />project. That improvement has a cost of $485,127. Given <br />that over $1,596,203 in public improvements are being <br />contemplated, it would seem to make sense to address other <br />needs at this time to generate a true economy of scale. <br />Therefore, staff is recommending that we conduct <br />feasibility reports for the following street improvements <br />for construction in 1993: <br />Nadeau Road <br />Condit Street <br />Lake Street <br />East Brooks Avenue <br />Estimated Cost <br />$25,900 <br />191,000 <br />113,000 <br />93,000 <br />Total: $422,900 <br />It should be noted that these costs are rough estimates <br />prepared by the City Engineer based on recent street <br />projects. A detailed estimate will be prepared as part <br />of the feasibility study which would have a more <br />accurate basis for cost determination. <br />Page 102 <br />
