MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />APRIL 8, 1993 <br />30 -foot strip of land from the Fasciana property on <br />Jackson Street, that strip to be included as part of <br />the Jackson Heights Plat to provided street access to <br />the plat. <br />Motion seconded by Drabik. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />COMPREHEN- DeLonais reported that the Community Pride Committee <br />SIVE PLAN met this morning and discussed the Comprehensive Plan. <br />It was suggested that a joint meeting of the City <br />Council, Planning Commission and Community Pride <br />Committee be held to discuss the extent of updating of <br />the Plan that the City should do. <br />Keis noted that $6,000 has been budgeted from 10% <br />monies for updating the plan, and asked if these funds <br />were still available. <br />DeLonais thought they were. DeLonais also noted that <br />the Planner would be invited to the workshop as well. <br />Knudsen asked if the feeling is that updating the Plan <br />is not affordable, therefore, will not be done. <br />DeLonais reported that the Community Pride Committee <br />felt the extent of updating that is necessary should be <br />discussed in detail. <br />Keis asked if the Planning Commission should review the <br />Plan tonight and try to come up with a consensus on how <br />and where the Plan should be updated. <br />Drabik pointed out that the City Planner was going to <br />bring some sample formats of redevelopment comp plans <br />for the Commission to review. <br />Carson asked if the zoning maps provided by the Planner <br />were current. <br />DeLonais pointed out an error with the zoning shown for <br />lots in the County Road C /Rosewood Drive area. <br />DeLonais indicated that all lots fronting on Rosewood <br />Drive were to be zoned R -1, and 4 of the lots in this <br />area fronting on County Road C were B -3. DeLonais <br />stated that it was important to keep these maps <br />updated. DeLonais also reported that the Fire <br />Department and Public Works Department do not have <br />up -to -date base maps of the City. DeLonais felt that <br />the City needed to find out whose responsibility is was <br />for keeping these maps up -to -date and ensure that this <br />work is done. <br />Page 8 <br />Page 17 <br />
