Hanson
I am pleased with the amount of interest generated within
the last few months regarding inspections of fire hazards.
In reporting of these inspections to you, two sections will
be contained within this report.
The first section contains a list of the ongoing
inspections of new and existing buildings I have previously
been undertaking. Existing building inspections have been
conducted to identify areas of concern such as alarm
systems, portable fire extinguishers, locked exit ways and
doors. Also, efforts have been made specifically for life
safety issues regarding concerns received from Fire Chief
Dick Boss as well as concerns from local citizens and
occupants of structures. Other efforts have been made to
target high risk areas through correspondence and on -site
inspections. Inspections have been made to include the
following:
I. Residential - single family dwellings, apartments
II. Public & Merchantile - stores, restaurants,
institutions, churches, public facilities,
educational
III. Industrial, Manufacturing, Other Buildings -
basic industry, manufacturing, storage,
residential garages, vacant buildings
Page 44b
