MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 <br />exceed the preliminary budget figure. Blesener pointed out that the impact <br />of the Preliminary 2014 Budget to taxpayers is the Net Levy amount at <br />1.84 %. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -9 -154 — CERTIFYING THE 2014 <br />PRELIMINARY LEVY IN THE AMOUNT OF $2, 794,384 AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />General Fund $2,435,573 <br />Debt Levy $81,520 <br />Fire Equipment Fund $120,091 <br />Infrastructure Fund $157.200 <br />Total $2,794,384 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported City staff is proposing eliminating the <br />2014 $20,996.78 debt levy for the General Obligation Bonds of 2008A <br />and adding $81,520 in debt levy for the Public Works Garage project, <br />which was included in the total Preliminary Levy amount. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -9 -155 — CERTIFYING THE PRELIMINARY <br />2014 DEBT LEVYSCHEDULEAS RECOMMENDED BY CITY <br />STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Clerk noted that past practice has been to combine the Council's <br />two December meetings into one. Staff recommended the cancelling the <br />December 11t and 25" Council meetings, and scheduling a meeting for <br />Wednesday, December 18th, at 7:30 p.m. Staff further recommended that <br />adoption of the 2014 Budget occur at a Public Hearing at the December <br />Council meeting. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />4 <br />
