Complete management plans for open
space and corridor units.
P Acquire areas needed to complete corridor connections or pro-
tect unique resources — Explore and recommend options among
local communities, the county and others for planning, owner-
ship and management of the corridor system, such as joint pow-
ers agreements.
• Complete management activities to enhance water resources, fish
and wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities in the corri-
dor system — implement reforestation plans, wetland restora-
tion, native plant community restoration, creek restoration, trail
development, etc., to enhance the corridor system.
P Enhance the fishery and fishing opportunities in the watershed
— implement wetland and creek restoration projects, restore na-
tive shoreline vegetation, and at the same time provide additional
designated shoreline fishing area improvements that allow ac-
cess but preserve native shoreline vegetation on area lakes.
PHALEN CHAIN OF LAKES WATERSHED PROJECT
Page 37
