MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
MAY 12, 1994
$200,000 range. Howe reviewed the concept plans with
the Commission, and reported that he wanted to present
the concept at this point, prior to spending money on
surveyors and more detailed plans.
Garske recommended approval of the concept rezoning of
property on Minnesota Street from R -1 to R -2 as
presented by Mr. Gordie Howe, Masterpiece Homes.
Motion seconded by Knudsen.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
CUP FOR Mr. Allan Foster, 2570 Jackson Street, appeared before
ACCESSORY the Commission requesting approval to construct an
BUILDING - accessory building on his property, which would bring
FOSTER his total accessory space to over 1,000 square feet.
Foster reported that there already is an accessory
building on his property, and his proposal is to remove
that structure and replace it with a 26 foot by 36 foot
garage. Foster indicated that the exterior of the
garage would match his house. Foster also pointed out
that he has a three -car, tuck -under garage under the
house, however, the garage door clearance of these
stalls is only enough for cars.
Foster reported that he purchased the property about
three years ago, and has been working to clean it up.
Davison pointed out that the accessory structure
proposed by Foster will be located adjacent to a swamp
area, therefore, will not impact anyone.
Garske indicated that he could not find the parcel to
view the property since the map in the Planner's report
was incorrect. Therefore, he feels he should abstain
from voting on this matter.
Davison recommended approval of the Conditional Use
Permit for accessory building bringing total accessory
space to over 1,000 square feet in size as proposed by
Allan Foster for his property at 2570 Jackson Street.
Motion seconded by Knudsen.
Motion carried 4 - 0 - 1. Garske abstained.
8
Page 10
