MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 14, 1994 <br />meeting, and instructed the City Planner to revise the <br />wording of the Text Amendment to give the City more <br />control over the type of auto body business that would <br />be allowed on Rice Street. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 6 - 1. Davison voted against. <br />Davison stated that he supported the application as <br />presented this evening. <br />Carson stated that he would like to see the site <br />restricted to indoor storage only. <br />The City Planner reported that he would come back with <br />tighter language for the Text Amendment as well as a <br />list of site condition issues for the Commission to <br />consider. <br />ZONING TEXT Dennis O'Connell, Suburban Auto Body, appeared before <br />AMENDMENT the Commission requesting approval of a Zoning Text <br />& CUP - Amendment to include auto body repair as a Conditional <br />SUBURBAN Use in the I -P Zoning District, as well as a <br />AUTO Conditional Use Permit for auto body repair in the I -P <br />District in order to allow the expansion of the <br />Suburban Auto Body building at 2989 Country Drive. <br />O'Connell reported that his plans are to reconstruct <br />the office area at the front of his building, redo the <br />roof of the structure, and add on to the back of the <br />building. The front of the building will have a stucco <br />facade which will wrap around the building on the South <br />Owasso Blvd. side. <br />Carson asked if the rear of the property were paved. <br />O'Connell replied that it was. O'Connell also stated <br />that he planned to put up a privacy fence along the <br />South Owasso Blvd. side of the outdoor storage area as <br />well as the side abutting the apartment complex on the <br />south. <br />John Linnen, Linnen Construction, reported that <br />construction plans are to remove the present roof and <br />redo the roof lines, reconstruct the front 23 feet of <br />the building and add an addition to the back.
