MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 14, 1994 <br />Garske asked what is done with disabled trailers. <br />Dolle replied that his oldest units are 1989 models. <br />Trailers are sold and replaced with new units on a <br />regular basis. <br />DeLonais asked about parking. <br />Anderson reported that parking requirements are <br />exceeded, and indicated that D & T Trucking has 18 <br />employees. <br />Garske asked about traffic to the area. <br />Dolle reported that there are about 40 trips per day to <br />the business spread out over a 24 -hour period. The <br />repair service operates one shift. <br />Anderson pointed out that berming and screening is <br />planned along the Water Works property as well as from <br />the public right -of -way. Anderson pointed out that in <br />designing the site and building, every attempt has been <br />made to exceed the standards of the ordinance. <br />Anderson pointed out that the Planner has indicated <br />that he would like to see more intense screening, and <br />they are open to working with the Planner on this <br />issue. <br />Mr. Carson recommended approval of the rezoning of the <br />north parcel of the Gervais property from I -P District <br />to I -1 District as requested by D & T Trucking. <br />Motion seconded by Garske. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Mr. Carson recommended approval of the Conditional Use <br />Permit to allow parking of trucks and outdoor storage <br />on the Gervais property located on South Owasso Blvd. <br />as requested by D & T Trucking, subject to compliance <br />with the recommendations of the City Planner as <br />contained in his report dated July 12, 1994. <br />Motion seconded by Garske. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />17 <br />Page 26 <br />
