MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
AUGUST 11, 1994
CUP TO ALLOW
100 -FOOT
RADIO TOWER
39 WEST
VIKING DRIVE
around his house. Hedlund reported that in the future
he may install a more permanent access to the garage.
There was no one from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
Hedlund reported that he would like the flexibility of
placing the garage at least 10 feet from the side lot
line and at least 15 feet from the back lot line.
DeLonais pointed out that Hedlund would have to comply
with the City's minimum setback requirements, but could
place the garage further from the lot lines if desired.
Garske questioned the need for a CUP in this instance.
The Planner pointed out that the Code requires a CUP if
the total garage floor area exceeds 1,000 square feet.
Both Hedlund's existing and proposed garage are taken
into consideration.
Garske recommended approval of the Conditional Use
Permit to allow construction of a second garage
accessory to a single - family home as requested by Dean
Hedlund for property at 655 Keller Parkway, subject to
compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner
as contained in his report dated August 5, 1994.
Motion seconded by Knudsen.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
Mr. William Buell, C -CALL Corporation, appeared before
the Commission requesting approval of a Conditional
Use Permit to allow construction of a 100 -foot tall
radio tower and maintenance building for essential
services on property located at 39 West Viking Drive.
Buell reported that C -CALL Corporation is a third
competitor to Cellular, and was licensed last year.
