MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
AUGUST 11, 1994
Abra is prepared to accept restrictions on the CUP, but
feels those restrictions should be realistic. Benson
pointed out that customers drop off vehicles at Abra on
the weekend for Monday morning appointments. Vehicles
are scheduled on an appointment basis and are not
stacked up in the parking lot waiting to be repaired.
DeLonais asked why Abra is proposing the Little Canada
facility when it has one at Rice Street and Larpentuer.
Benson reported that the Rice and Larpentuer facility
is four years old, too small, located back in the
corner, and was not built by Abra. Benson also reported that there are 19
or 20 Abra facilities in the Metro area, and if wrecked
cars need to be stored outdoors overnight, they can be
stored in screened storage areas at some of the other
Abra facilities. The storage of wrecked cars outdoors
overnight is not part of the Abra image. Abra wants
4
