MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 13, 1994
Planner stated that in view of the fact that there have
been no changes to the preliminary plat, and subject to
engineering comments, it was his recommendation that
the Commission act on both Preliminary and Final plats
for Canada Woods West.
Keis asked if work could continue on the project under
only preliminary plat approval.
The City Planner replied that grading permits could be
issued under a preliminary plat. The Planner did not
believe anything would change for the final plat,
therefore, recommended that both be approved at this
time.
Mr. Garske recommended approval of the Preliminary and
Final Plats for Canada Woods West as presented subject
to compliance with the recommendations of the City
Planner as contained in his report dated October 11,
1994.
Motion seconded by Keis.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
CUP TO MOVE Mr. Derek Rusch appeared before the Commission
HOUSE INTO requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit to
CITY - move a house into the City. The house would be
DEREK RUSCH located at 2539 Ruth Street. Rusch reported that the
house is coming from the City of St. Paul and must be
moved as part of a new high school construction
project. The house is four years old, and is
comparable to the existing homes on Ruth Street. Rusch
reported that he would set back the house in line with
the others in the neighborhood.
Jim Gustafson, Ruth Street resident, asked if Rusch
planned to live in the house.
Rusch replied that he did.
Gustafson reported that he has seen pictures of the
house and agreed it would fit into the neighborhood.
Gustafson stated that he looks forward to having
another house on the street.
Keis asked about soil corrections.
3
