4. A reinspection fee may be assessed for each inspection
or reinspection when a portion of work for which inspection is
called is not complete or when corrections called for are not
made. This item is not to be interpreted as requiring
reinspection fees the first time a job is rejected for failure to
comply with the requirements of this code, but as controlling the
practice of calling for inspections before the job is ready for
inspection or reinspection. Reinspection fees may be assessed
when the permit card is not properly posted on the work site, the
approved plans are not readily available to Building Official,
for failure to provide access on the date for which inspection is
requested, or for deviating from plans requiring the approval of
Building Official. The reinspection fee imposed shall be payable
by the permittee to City. In instances where reinspection fees
have been assessed, no additional inspection of the work will be
performed until the required fees have been paid.
III. COMPENSATION TO BUILDING OFFICIAL
1. Building Official shall be compensated for services
based on the schedule as indicated on Exhibit "A ", a copy of
which is annexed hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
Exhibit "A" shall be in effect through December 31, 1996 and may
be amended by mutual consent of the parties to this Agreement
after that date.
2. Payment to Building Official by City for services
rendered shall occur within 30 days after receipt of an invoice
which documents the amount due.
IV. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The parties further agree as follows:
1. City shall not assume any liability for the direct
payment of any salary, wage, worker's compensation, income tax
withholding, or any other type of compensation to Building
Official for performing services pursuant to this Agreement.
This remains the responsibility of Building Official.
2. City shall assume responsibility for providing Building
Official a current up -to -date copy of zoning and subdivision
regulations, zoning and subdivision maps, comprehensive plan and
other regulations on development adopted within City.
3. All contractors performing construction services within
City shall be required to provide evidence of licensing and
insurance as required by local ordinance or State law. Building
Official shall confirm with City all such license and insurance
compliance prior to issuance of a permit to any contractor
performing work within the jurisdictional limits of City.
-4-
Page 31
