Hanson <br />The City of Little Canada has recently become aware of the <br />current grant application for implementation of a Geographic <br />Information System (GIS) which will benefit the Ramsey County <br />Sheriff's Dispatch and local fire and rescue departments, <br />including the Little Canada Fire Department. <br />We understand that the City's role in this process will be to <br />enter into a cost -share agreement for graphic data with Ramsey <br />County. We also understand that we must develop an electronic <br />map of their water distribution system. This map would typically <br />consist of hydrants, gate valves and pipes. Given the fact we <br />are in the process of updating our mapping system anyway, we have <br />no problem committing to these responsibilities. <br />Therefore, the City of Little Canada strongly supports this grant <br />application.
