Quality Control /Confidentiality
Anderson, Niebuhr & Associates, Inc. has established a reputation
in the field of research for providing high quality data to its clients.
Quality is maintained through several mechanisms:
1. We work closely with our clients throughout the project,
particularly in the sampling design and questionnaire
construction phases, to ensure that the completed project
reflects the client's precise data needs.
2. We recommend pretesting survey instruments with individuals
from the desired populations.
3. Data collection is undertaken only after finalization of the
questionnaires. Our own professional interviewers, working in
our on -site centralized telephone facility, are used for
telephone interviewing and for follow -up to mail data
collection.
4. We regularly obtain high response rates to ensure that
nonresponse bias is not a factor in our surveys.
5. Data are collected, reviewed, coded, and verified according to
Anderson- Niebuhr's established procedures.
6. All documents pertaining to the project are retained in
accordance with the following documentation storage
procedures. We adhere to strict practices regarding
confidentiality to preserve the interests of our clients and
survey respondents. Therefore:
♦ All data obtained during this research project will be
stored on magnetic media in case there is a need for data
retrieval at a later time.
♦ All other documentation for the project, including
completed questionnaires, will be retained for six months
after completion of the project.
♦ Unless otherwise directed by the City, at the end of the
designated storage period, these documents will be
disposed of in a manner preserving confidentiality.
Page 21 13
