They receive ongoing training to
enhance their research skills and are trained in techniques to
facilitate response from survey participants, thus keeping refusals
to a minimum. In addition, they are monitored by experienced
interviewer supervisors using electronic monitoring equipment.
Examples of Relevant Past Studies
Anderson - Niebuhr has been conducting marketing research — and
consistently attaining high response rates — for our clients for more
than 19 years.
To provide a better understanding of our in -depth experience in
successful research of the type desired by the City of Little
Canada, we include here brief descriptions of several studies
designed and conducted.
♦ A survey of Minnesota residents conducted for the
Department of Natural Resources conceming familiarity with
the DNR and opinions of its services.
♦ A comprehensive parks and recreation needs assessment
for the City of St. Paul in which our sampling strategies were
designed to obtain data generalizable to the City overall and
its recreational service areas.
♦ A survey of city and suburban residents for the City of St.
Paul's long -range planning effort, Saint Paul Tomorrow,
conceming opinions about and satisfaction with city
services.
♦ A community survey for the United Way of the St. Cloud
area, conceming needs for human services.
♦ Needs assessment surveys of the West Side, West 7th,
Payne - Phalen, Hamline- Midway, and St. Anthony Park
neighborhoods in St. Paul.
♦ Surveys of community residents for the North St. Paul
Maplewood School District to determine residents' attitudes
toward a variety of issues and topics.
♦ Surveys of community residents and businesses for the
City of St. Louis Park to determine satisfaction and needs.
Page 24
16
