MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 9, 1994
front of the proposed garage up with the adjacent
houses.
Motion seconded by Keis.
Motion carried 4 - 0.
Mrs. Barr asked how the neighbors could verify that the
house was going to be lined up with adjacent homes.
Keis replied that the Building Inspector will inspect
the footings of the house to ensure that it is lined up
with the adjacent homes.
LEEWARD WAY The City Planner submitted a report outlining three
THOROUGHFARE options for a Leeward Way thoroughfare plan. The
PLAN Planner informed the Commission was generated at the
direction of the City Council at its last meeting after
considering the Their property division. The Council
wanted a thoroughfare plan put together showing how the
remaining vacant area could possibly develop.
Garske felt that the street connection to LaBore Road
shown on Option B was too close to the Greenbrier
connection. Garske suggested that Option A was
preferable if an area were reserved for possible street
extension. Garske suggested that the cul -de -sac could
be brought right to the edge of the property leaving
the potential for extending the road in any direction
that was decided was the most feasible.
The Commission agreed that Option A was preferable
provided that the cul -de -sac was extended down into Lot
10.
RAMSEY The Commission reviewed the correspondence describing
COUNTY Ramsey County's strategic planning process. DeLonais
STRATEGIC indicated that he would be interested in serving on
PLANNING the transit committee.
PROCESS
COMMUNITY Davison reported that he would be interested in
SURVEY serving on the Council /Commission community survey
COMMITTEE committee. The Commission felt that Carson would also
be willing to serve on the committee.
4
