Hanson
City Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Re: Personnel handbook
Our File No. 8132
Dear Joel:
Telephone
(612)222.2541
Facsimile
(612)223 -5289
T have reviewed the proposed final draft of the Personnel
Handbook and suggest the following clarifications:
- The "phrase" we added to all provisions relating. to
department heads should also be included on page 4, after
the definition of Department Heads. In addition, the phrase
should be included in. the same paragraph as the language it
refers to. This adjustment should be made on pages 6, 13,
21, 22 and 31.
- On pages 3 and 4, "Park" should be changed to "Parks ", or
vice versa.
- On page 36, number 10 should be changed to remove the word
"in" preceding the word "violation," and the reference to
Section 22 should, be changed to Section 21.
- Page 37, number 21, the reference'to Section 23 should be
changed to section 22.
- Finally, I anticipate a table of contents will be included
for clarity purposes.
As you know, the current personnel ordinance, Chapter 209
of the Code, will need to be repealed. The handbook should have
an effective date prior to repeal of the current ordinance. In
addition, Section 211.030(C) of the Code should be amended to
give the City Administrator the power to terminate employees.
Page 27
