The resident making the request has found
it inconvenient to request parking permits for Payne Avenue adjacent to
his house when he has parties at his home and needs more parking than his
driveway can accommodate. The Superintendent indicated that this area
of the street is 24 feet wide in comparison to a 30 foot width along the rest
of Payne Avenue. The Superintendent reported that the City designated
both sides of this area as no parking back in 2002 given the narrow section
of the street and the awkward intersection LaBore Road and Payne
Avenue.
The Superintendent reported that in looking at the area, he felt that the no
parking designation should be retained from 50 to 100 feet back from
LaBore Road, and that parking be allowed after that distance on the east
side of the street. No parking would be maintained on the west side. The
7
