for the maintenance of the water service from the gate valve to <br />and within the building. Owner agrees that City will supervise <br />the installation of the water meters and City will retain <br />ownership of the water meters, whether the water meters are <br />located in buildings or other areas. Owner agrees that no <br />connection of any other real property other than that described <br />above will be made to said water main without the approval of <br />City. <br />6. Owner agrees to grant City access to the above <br />described property for the purposes of reading and inspecting the <br />water meters and for making such other inspections as are deemed <br />appropriate by the City relative to the operation of the water <br />system on Owner's property. In addition to the cost described in <br />Paragraph 3 above, Owner will also be responsible for costs of <br />lost water associated with any leaks in the water system located <br />on Owner's property. Owner agrees to grant City the right to <br />make any necessary inspections to determine the existence of such <br />leak and will pay the appropriate water charges as determined by <br />City. Owner is responsible for all costs associated with the <br />maintenance and operation of the water system on Owner's <br />property, except as provided in Paragraph 5. Should any leaks or <br />breaks occur within Owner's system, Owner will repair said leaks <br />or breaks within twenty -four (24) hours of detection and <br />notification of said leaks or breaks. If Owner does not repair <br />the same as provided herein, City reserves the right to shut off <br />the water to the above described property until such repairs are <br />-5- <br />PAGE 142 <br />
