(C) Recreation Director and Assistants. These employees <br />shall be paid on an annual salary basis and shall not be entitled <br />to any overtime compensation.. <br />(D) All Other Regular Employees. All such employees <br />shall be entitled to pay at the rate of time and one -half for all <br />hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week, or in lieu <br />thereof, the employee may elect compensatory time off at the rate <br />of one and one -half hours compensatory time for each hour worked in <br />excess of forty (40) hours per week. Use of compensatory time <br />shall in all cases be subject to the needs of municipal service and <br />prior approval of the employee's Department Head. Each Department <br />Head shall be responsible for providing the City Clerk with an <br />accurate accounting of all such hours worked by an employee. This <br />section is subject to this exception. An employee who works in <br />different job functions within the municipal service in both a full <br />time and part time capacity shall not be entitled to any overtime <br />for work performed as a part time employee until such employee's <br />total hours worked (both full and part time) in a work week exceed <br />forty -eight (48) hours.. Thereafter, such employee shall be <br />entitled to pay at the rate of time and one -half for all hours <br />worked as a part timer, which cause his /her total hours to exceed <br />forty -eight (48) hours, with payment for such overtime hours to be <br />based on his /her rate of pay as a part time employee. <br />(E) Use of compensatory time by Department Heads shall be <br />subject to the prior approval of their respective Council <br />liason- person. An accurate accounting of all such hours accrued <br />and used shall be given by each Department Head to the City Clerk <br />for filing. <br />(F) It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to obtain from <br />Department Heads and to maintain on file accurate records for all <br />employees, showing the amount of compensatory time accrued and used <br />by each City employee. <br />(G) <br />and be used <br />used by an <br />forfeited. <br />For exempt employees, compensatory time shall accrue <br />on a calendar year basis.
