209.100. LEGAL HOLIDAYS. <br />(A) The following holidays will be observed by full time <br />employees: <br />(1) <br />(2) <br />(3) <br />(4) <br />- (5) <br />(6) <br />(7) <br />(8) <br />(9) <br />(10) <br />New Year's Day; <br />Martin Luther King's Birthday, <br />the third Monday in January; <br />President's Day, the third <br />Monday in February; <br />Memorial Day, the last Monday <br />in May; <br />Independence Day, July 4th; <br />Labor Day, the first Monday <br />in September; <br />Veterans' Day, November 11th; <br />Thanksgiving Day, the fourth <br />Thursday in November; <br />Day after Thanksgiving Day; and <br />Christmas Day, December 25th. <br />When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans' Day, or Christmas <br />Day falls on Saturday, the preceding day shall. be observed as a <br />holiday. If one of the four (4) holidays falls on a Sunday, the <br />following day shall be observed as a holiday. <br />(B) Full holiday pay will be granted to all regular <br />employees. Employees must be on active payroll status on the work <br />day immediately preceding and the work day immediately following a <br />holiday to be eligible for holiday pay for that holiday. Permanent <br />part time employees will be granted pro rata holiday pay for each <br />holiday based on the average number of hours worked per week during <br />the eight (8) weeks immediately preceding each holiday and in <br />accordance with -the following schedule: .. <br />Average Hours Worked Holiday Pay <br />Less than 20 0 <br />20 - 23 1/2 Day <br />24 or more 3/5 Day <br />(C) Any regular employee, other than the City Clerk, <br />Building Official and Superintendent of Public Works, and any <br />permanent part time employee, who is required to work on any of the <br />above named holidays, shall be paid for each hour worked on the <br />holiday at the rate of two and one -half (2 1/2) times the regular <br />rate of pay. This rate of pay includes the holiday pay referred to <br />above in Paragraph (B). <br />209.110. VACATION LEAVE. <br />(A) No employee shall be entitled to vacation leave <br />during the first three (3) months of City employment.
