809. GARBAGE, RECYCLABLE MATERIALS, AND RUBBISH STORAGE AND <br />COLLECTION <br />809.010. APPLICATION AND FEE. Any person or company <br />intending to conduct a garbage, recyclable materials, and rubbish <br />collection business in the City of Little Canada shall apply to the <br />City Administrator for a license. The application shall include <br />the following information: <br />(A) name and business address of applicant; <br />(B) a description of the vehicles and equipment to be used in <br />said business; <br />(C) the locations of refuse dumps to be used for disposal of <br />collected refuse; <br />(D) the manner in which such refuse and garbage is to be <br />disposed of; and <br />(E) a general disposal plan in conformity with Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency regulations. <br />Said application shall be submitted to the Public Works <br />Superintendent for investigation. The Public Works Superintendent <br />shall determine whether or not the applicant is a responsible <br />individual or company, and whether the applicant possesses the <br />necessary equipment to provide adequate services. The Public Works <br />Superintendent shall review any other matters he /she deems <br />pertinent to his /her investigation. If the Public Works <br />Superintendent finds that the applicant is entitled to a license, <br />he /she shall indicate his /her approval on the application. <br />A license fee of Seventy -five Dollars and No /100 Dollars <br />($75.00) for one (1) year or any part thereof shall be paid to the <br />Administrator at the time of submitting said application. This <br />annual license shall commence July 1 of each year. Subsequent <br />amendments of the fee shall be by resolution of the City Council. <br />809.020. BOND REQUIRED. Each applicant shall, before being <br />granted a license, provide a continuing performance bond in the <br />amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the benefit of its <br />customers and of the City. Further, said applicant shall provide <br />a certificate of public liability insurance in the minimum amount <br />of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) for any one person <br />injured, and Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) for more <br />than one injury in a single occurrence, and Fifty Thousand Dollars <br />($50,000.00) property damage coverage per accident on each and <br />every vehicle used for collection service. <br />809.030.
