drainage or active recreational purposes. <br />Trees over six (6) inches in diameter that are <br />to remain are to be marked with a red band and <br />to be protected with snow fences or other <br />suitable enclosure prior to any excavation. <br />The City may further require that the <br />developer retain a professional forester to <br />prepare a forest inventory and management plan <br />for the development, in order to control and <br />abate any existing or potential shade tree <br />disease. <br />Prior to construction, the developer or <br />contractor shall schedule an on -site <br />inspection with the Building Official to <br />identify significant trees to be removed. <br />Significant trees shall be defined as those <br />existing trees of six (6) caliper inches or <br />more, as measured one foot above the existing <br />grade level. All such trees to be removed to <br />accommodate the project shall be tagged and <br />catalogued by size. The landscape plan shall <br />be required to show replacement of the lost <br />significant trees on a 100 percent caliper <br />inch basis, up to a maximum 30 caliper inches <br />per acre of aggregate disturbed area. <br />H. Traffic Visibility. On corner lots in all districts, no <br />structure or planting in excess of thirty (30) inches <br />above the street center line grade shall be permitted <br />within a triangular area defined as follows: beginning <br />at the intersection of the projected property lines of <br />two intersecting streets, thence thirty (30) feet along <br />one property line, thence diagonally to a point thirty <br />(30) feet from the point of beginning. <br />I. Glare. Any lighting used to illuminate an off-street <br />parking area, sign or other structure, shall be arranged <br />as to deflect light away from any adjoining residential <br />zone or from the public streets. Direct or sky - reflected <br />glare, where from floodlights or from high temperature <br />processes such as combustion or welding shall not be <br />directed into any adjoining property. The source of <br />lights shall be hooded or controlled in some manner so as <br />not to light adjacent property. Bare incandescent light <br />bulbs shall not be permitted in view of adjacent property <br />or public right -of -way. Any light or combination of <br />lights which cast light on a public street shall not <br />exceed one (1) foot candle (meter reading) as measured <br />from the center line of said street.
