Mayor & City Council
January 4, 1995
Page 2
additional plowing. I think something to the effect of "Would
you feel the same if additional tax dollars were needed to
accomplish plowing ?"
* Question #106 does not seem to provide any information that will
be of use to us in light of Question #107 and the grouping of
#117 through #127.
* Question #108 and the preface to #109 need to be reworded in that
we are only talking about the Rice Street area. The reference to
"first" is inappropriate.
* Question #129 utilizes the phrase "visual pollution." This seems
to have a negative connotation which could impact answers to the
question. Perhaps this question should be reworded.
* Questions #129 through #131 could be redone and included with
Questions #48 through #56 on code enforcement. It also seems
that the word "nuisances" in the preface to Questions #48 through
/56 should be changed to "issues" in that not all of the items
listed would be considered nuisances such as parking and home -
based businesses.
Questions #132 and #133 do not appear to be needed in that we
would not be considering them as our official newspaper.
Question #144 does not appear to be needed in that we do not
appear to be measuring any significant information with this
question. I think it should be eliminated and allow Question
#145 to tie into #143 which will then measure the quality of our
telecast. It may also be a good idea to ask a question related
to the quality or mix of programming offered on Channel 16 from a
satisfaction standpoint.
These were the comments I had. We can discuss this matter further at an
upcoming workshop.
