My suggestion to the neighborhood was that they should put <br />together a proposal that has unanimous agreement. It could then <br />be presented to the City Council for your consideration. I made <br />it very clear that the Council would have to look at a number of <br />issues and that acceptance was far from guaranteed. It was also <br />pointed out that should these proposals not be accepted by the <br />City Council, they could be pursued using the association <br />concept. <br />It seems to me that from the City's perspective, it will not be <br />possible to have an improvement which meets our standards. These <br />proposals would seem to merit some attention if the City feels we <br />should be part of the solution.
