C. Every employee shall be responsible for the safekeeping and <br />care of all such equipment. All expenses incurred by the <br />loss of such equipment shall be borne by the employee. <br />D. The duplication by a locksmith or other person of keys, <br />openings, structures, or equipment owned by the City is <br />prohibited unless authorized by the City Administrator or <br />department head. Any employee found having an unauthorized <br />duplicate key will be subject to disciplinary action. <br />News Releases <br />A. News releases concerning municipal affairs are the <br />responsibility of the department heads and the City <br />Administrator. <br />B. All news releases concerning City personnel shall be the <br />responsibility of the City Administrator. <br />Outside Employment <br />The City of Little Canada does not encourage the practice of <br />full -time employees working at employment outside of the City <br />services. <br />A City employee shall not engage in any employment, activity or <br />enterprise which is inconsistent, incompatible or in conflict <br />with his /her duties as a City employee, or with the duties, <br />functions and responsibilities of the department by which he is <br />employed. <br />The following activities shall be considered inconsistent, <br />incompatible or in conflict with City employment: <br />A. Any employment, activity or enterprise which involves the <br />use for private gain or advantage of the City's time, <br />facilities, equipment or supplies, prestige or influence or <br />a City office or employment. <br />B. Any employment which involves the receipt or acceptance by <br />the employee of any money or other consideration from anyone <br />other than the City for the performance of an act which the <br />employee would be required or expected to render in the <br />regular course of his /her City employment or a part of his <br />duties as an employee. <br />C. Any employment which involves the performance of an act in <br />other than his /her capacity as an employee which may later <br />be subject, directly or indirectly, to the control, <br />inspection, review, audit or enforcement by such employee or <br />28 <br />
