SMOKING POLICY <br />In recognition of the fact that the City of Little Canada has an <br />interest in encouraging healthy life styles among its employees, <br />and to assure that the City is in compliance with the Minnesota <br />Clean Indoor Air Act, tobacco usage shall not be permitted in any <br />portion of the City Center, Public Works Maintenance Garage, and <br />City vehicles. For purposes of this policy, tobacco usage <br />includes the smoking and chewing of tobacco products as well as <br />carrying a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe, or any other lighted <br />smoking equipment. <br />Employees who use tobacco products and wish to cease are <br />encouraged to take advantage of tobacco cessation programs <br />sponsored by their health care providers. The two programs that <br />offer discounts to PHP /Medica members are Stop Smoking 331 -7867 <br />and Smoke Stoppers 823 -8671. <br />41 <br />
