MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 6, 2014 <br />2014 GOAL <br />SETTING <br />SESSION <br />CONTRACT <br />WITH <br />ARCHITECT <br />FOR NEW <br />PUBLIC WORKS/ <br />PARKS <br />FACILITY <br />of this coverage is $1,980 and coverage would have a $500 deductible. <br />The Administrator did not recommend the purchase of this coverage. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -1 -10 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF <br />ADDITIONAL INSURANCE FROM LMCIT FOR AUTO LIABILITY <br />COVERAGE AND REPLACEMENT COVERAGE FOR <br />AUTOMOBILE PHYSICAL DAMAGE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council discussed the scheduling of a Goal Setting Session for 2014, <br />and the consensus was to not hold a session in 2014 given the several <br />large projects that the City is working on this year. Montour suggested <br />that the City Administrator send out an update to the Goal Setting Session <br />participants reporting on the status of the 2013 Goals. <br />The City Administrator presented a proposed contract for architectural <br />services with Oertel Architects, Ltd. for the Public Works /Parks Facility. <br />The Administrator reported noted that the contract format follows the AIA <br />document format which some significant revisions to fit the City's project. <br />He also noted that the City Attorney has expressed the need to establish a <br />cap rate for basic services and compensation rates. The Administrator <br />recommended approval of the contract subject to any modifications <br />required by the City Attorney. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -1 -11— APPROVING THE <br />ARCHITECTURAL CONTRACT WITH OERTEL ARCHITECTS <br />LTD. FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS /PARKS FACILITY SUBJECT TO <br />ANY MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />TO EXECUTE THIS CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
