Planning Commission
April 7, 1995
Page 2
* Assessments to affected property owners based on the
cost estimates that have been provided to -date are
virtually equal for the Timas and Magnusons. (less
than $400 variance) The Morelans will experience a
greater assessment for the street option of
approximately $2,000. I am sure a "benefits received"
question will be raised from that standpoint.
* If the cul -de -sac option is chosen, staff will be
recommending that temporary pavement be placed to
facilitate improved turn - arounds until Australian and
Bluwood are reconstructed. By combining the cul -de-
sacs with the reconstruction of the adjoining streets,
a better project will result. Tentatively, these
streets would not be reconstructed until 1997 or 1998
based on capital improvement planning done to -date.
Street construction of Jackson would need to occur as
soon as possible to facilitate the subdivision.
JRH:kpv
Enclosure
cc: Louis
Tod &
Steve
Steve
Jerry
Tima
Berniece
& Debbie
Grittman
Bourdon,
Magnuson
Morelan
, City Planner
City Engineer
Page 19
