MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12, 2014 <br />MeMENEMY The City Administrator noted the joint improvement project with the <br />ROAD City of Maplewood which includes McMenemy Road (from County Road <br />IMPROVEMENT B to Viking Drive) in the City of Little Canada. The Administrator <br />indicated that given the unique nature of this project and the differences in <br />assessment policies between the two cities, it is his recommendation that <br />the assessment hearing be held prior to the award of bids for the <br />improvement. The Administrator noted that the City of Maplewood will <br />be openin bids on March 13th and anticipate awarding the bid at their <br />March 24" City Council meeting. Therefore, the assessment hearing <br />should be scheduled for a date between March 13th and 24111 <br />. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -2 -33 — APPROVING PLANS AND SPECS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. 2013 -19, McMENEMY ROAD (FROM <br />COUNTY ROAD B TO VIKING DRIVE) <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -2 -34 — CALLINGANASSESEMENT <br />HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 2013 -19, McMENEMY ROAD <br />(FROM COUNTY ROAD B TO VIKING DRIVE) FOR THURSDAY, <br />MARCH 13, 2019 AT 6:00 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator also noted the need to finalize a Joint Powers <br />Agreement (JPA) with Maplewood. He indicated that the JPA has been <br />reviewed by City staff and some modifications were made. The <br />Administrator indicated that the JPA follows standard form, and staff is <br />recommending approval. Given the Council has not yet seen this <br />document, the Administrator recommended that the Council approve it <br />subject to the City Attorney's review and approval. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -2 -35 — APPROVING THE JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD AS <br />10 <br />
