MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 11, 2007 <br />her report dated Apri15, 2007 outlining previous Council action with <br />regard to alcohol violations. She noted that this is the second violation to <br />occur at the Oasis Market within the past 3 %z years. <br />Keis noted that State Statute provides for tougher penalties for tobacco <br />violations than what the City has been imposing for alcohol violations. <br />Keis felt the City has been too lenient on the alcohol violations and should <br />take a tougher stance on the fines imposed for these violations. He further <br />noted that the City just received notification that another tobacco violation <br />just occurred at Oasis. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-4-86 - IMPOSING A $500.00 FINE ON <br />OASIS MARKET FOR THEIR SEPTEMBER 26, 2006 ALCOHOL <br />VIOLATION, WITH $250.00 OF THAT FINE TO BE STAYED IF <br />THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL ALCOHOL VIOLATIONS FOR ONE <br />YEAR FROM TODAY'S DATE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT The City Administrator recommended that action on the Cooperative <br />AGENDA Agreement with Ramsey County for cold-in-place recycling of a portion <br />of Viking Drive be removed fi•om the consent agenda for discussion. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO.2007-4-87 -REMOVING THE RAMSEY <br />COUNTYAGREEMENTRELATlVE TO VIKING DRIVE FROM <br />THE CONSENT AGENDA FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
