3200.040 — Rental Licensing Ordinance <br />D. Changes in Ownership. A license is non -transferable. If there is a change in the <br />Ownership of the Rental Dwelling or Rental Dwelling Unit, a new license is <br />required. <br />E. Changes in the Rental Dwelling or Rental Dwelling Unit. If changes are <br />made in the number or type of units, the Owner shall amend its license. <br />License Term. Persons wishing to let Rental Dwellings or Rental Dwelling Units <br />must make an application to the City, provide the information required by this <br />Section and pay the applicable license fee, which will be set by City Council <br />resolution. A current licensee who intends to continue letting Rental Dwellings or <br />Rental Dwelling Units shall apply for license renewal by March 15th of the year in <br />which the license is due to expire. There is no limit on the number of times a <br />license may be renewed. <br />1. Licenses for properties with one (1) to four (4) Dwelling Units are valid <br />from July 1 of the year in which the license is granted through June 30 of <br />the fourth year following approval. <br />2. Licenses for properties with more than four (4) Dwelling Units are annual <br />licenses valid from July I through June 30. A licensed property that has <br />completed inspections of all units may be granted a renewal license valid <br />from July 1 of the renewal year through June 30 of the third year <br />following the renewal. <br />G. License Fee. The application fee shall be determined by the City Council from <br />time to time by Resolution, and shall be paid at the time of application. License <br />fees, as set forth by City Council resolution, shall be due prior to the license <br />expiration date; in the cases of new, unlicensed dwellings, license fees shall be <br />due upon issuance of the certificate of occupancy; in the case of initial licensing, <br />license fees shall be due upon application; in the case of licensing periods of less <br />than one (1) year, license fees may be prorated. The City Council may provide an <br />exemption to the payment of all or a portion of license fees for Single Family or <br />Multi -Family Licensees that remain free of violations under Section 3200.080 <br />herein. <br />
