MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 25, 2014
CALL FOR
WORKSHOP —
FRATTALONE
PUD
SCHLETTY
STREET
LIGHTS
The City Administrator reviewed his June 20th report relative to the
Fra -Dor Interim Use Permit. I -ie noted that the Interim Use Permit
Agreement was reviewed about five years ago, with the City agreeing to
the key terms of the agreement. The agreement was never presented to
Mr. Frattalone due to concerns with how it was drafted. The City
Attorney's office was able to resolve the drafting concern issue, and the
Administrator indicated that he has been reviewing the agreement with
Mr. Frattalone. However, since the five year term is expiring and an
extension is being requested by Mr. Frattalone pursuant to the provision in
the agreement, the Administrator recommended that a workshop be called
to review the current agreement and discuss the provisions for an
extension.
Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-6-111— CALLING A WORKSHOP
MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2014, AT 6:00 P.M. TO
REVIEW THE FRA -DOR INTERIM USE PERMIT AGREEMENT
AND REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's report dated June 20,
2014 relative to Shetty Drive Street lighting. He noted that the
neighborhood requested three decorative street lights initially, and at the
neighborhood review meeting a fourth was requested. The estimated cost
for LED lights is $25,256.05 which is $5,256.05 over the estimated costs
presented at the public hearing assuming the 4 -light system. The
Administrator noted that the City Engineer is recommending that the LED
lights be used. He is also recommending that the cost of the lights be
divided amongst all the lots along the street, including the four City
parcels. This would bring the cost to $1,113.89 per parcel and result in a
cost to the City of $4,455.56 for it's for parcels.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-6-112 — ACCEPTING THE CITY
ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION FOR SCHLETTY STREET
LIGHTS WHICH INCLUDE LED LIGHTS WITH THE COST TO BE
DIVIDED AMONG THE SCHLETTY PROPERTY OWNERS
INCLUDING THE CITY'S FOUR PARCELS
19
