MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 25, 2014 SPECIAL MEETING TO AWARD BIDS FOR THE PW/PARKS FACILITY RECESS CALL FOR CLOSED SESSION — RICE STREET/ VIKING DRIVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT could would range from $50,000 to $80,000 for the retaining wall modifications and an additional $40,000 for the sidewalk work. The goal would be to tier the retaining walls maintaining a maximum 4 foot heights so that fencing is not required. The consensus of the Council was that the City Engineer to obtain quotes for all this work and that the quotes should then be presented to the Council for action. The City Administrator reported that bids on the major components of the Public Works/Parks Maintenance Facility are due July 10th. The Construction Manager has requested a special meeting for Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. so that the Council can review and award bids. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-6-117 - CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2014 AT 5:00 P.M. TO ACT ON BIDS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS -PARKS MAINTENANCE FACILITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. At this point in the meeting,10:07 p.m., the Council took a short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 10:14 p.m. The City Attorney recommended that the City Council go into closed session to review a purchase agreement that was received for the City's property at Rice Street and Viking Drive as is allowed under State Statute. The Attorney noted that the closed session proceedings will he recorded as required by State Law. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-6-118 - TEMPORARILY ADJOURNING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO CLOSED SESSION AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY TO REVIEW A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY'S RICE STREET/VIKING DRIVE PROPERTY 23
