MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2014 <br />RAILROAD COMPANY RELATIVE TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />QUIET ZONES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OFFER TO The City Administrator reported that Derek and Kathy Owens have made <br />PURCHASE at offer to purchase the City property located at 3046 LaBore Road for <br />3046 LABORE $85,000. The asking price for this lot is $120,000, and the Administrator <br />ROAD noted that the asking price was deemed reasonable by two different <br />realtors. The Administrator reported that the offer to purchase also <br />includes the stipulation for $500 earnest money which would be refunded <br />within 90 days if it is determined that the house the Owens' propose to <br />construct does not fit the lot. <br />The Council briefly discussed the offer which they noted was substantially <br />below the asking price. The consensus of the Council was to go into <br />closed session at the end of the meeting to determine whether or not a <br />counter-offer should be made. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-174 — PURSUANT TO ALLOWANCE <br />UNDER STATE STATUTE, THE COUNCIL WILL GO INTO <br />CLOSED SESSION AT THE END OF ITS REGULAR MEETING TO <br />DISCUSS THE OFFER TO PURCHASE 3046 LABORE ROAD AND <br />DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOTA COUNTEROFFER SHOULD <br />BE MADE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />REIMBURSE The Public Works Superintendent reviewed his report dated September 3, <br />ROSEVILLE 2014 relative to the reimbursement to the City of Roseville for Little <br />FOR WATER Canada's usage of water from their system when the water tower was out <br />USAGE of service. The Superintendent reported that Little Canada was billed <br />$40,618 by Roseville for this water usage. However, in reviewing the <br />total usage which was 51 million gallons while the Little Canada tower <br />was down, the amount should equate to $132,264 based on the City's rate <br />10 <br />
