Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Council commended the City clerk on her excellent job in <br />conducting the election process for the City. <br />The City Administrator reported that on October 3, 2014 the Russ <br />Fischer's building at 200-208 Ryan Drive was destroyed as the result of <br />a fire. Mr. Fischer is currently working to have the building demolished <br />so that rebuilding can commence. The Administrator noted that the <br />building had been a non -conforming use, and under State Law a non- <br />conforming use can be re-established as long as a building permit is <br />applied for within 180 days. The Administrator noted that Mr. Fischer <br />anticipates that he will be able to meet that 180 deadline, but there is a <br />chance that the deadline will not be met given there are a few issues that <br />need to be resolved before the building plans can be finalized. One of <br />those issues relates to building elevation with the Administrator pointing <br />out that there have been some flooding issues on this property. Mr. <br />Fischer is working with the Watershed on that issue and whether or not <br />additional ponding is an option. <br />7 <br />
