MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 2014 <br />PIONEER <br />PARK <br />DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />VERIZON <br />CELL TOWER <br />LEASE <br />will have expended costs for the feasibility report. Once the reports are <br />prepared and reviewed by the Council, the recommendation will be to <br />proceed with improvement hearings. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-236 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ENGINEER TO PREPARE FEASIBILITY REPORTS ON THE <br />PROPOSED 2015 IMPROVEMENTS AS OUTLINED IN HIS <br />DECEMBER 11, 2014 REPORT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's December 11, 2014 <br />report outlining recommended drainage improvements in Pioneer Park. <br />These improvements include the dredging of the pond south of the trail <br />bridge and some grading work around the south end of the softball fields. <br />The Administrator reported that these improvements were included in the <br />Watershed's larger 2015 Capital Improvement Plan. However, the low <br />bidder on the Watershed's overall project had a substantially higher cost <br />associated with the Little Canada work than the other bidders. Therefore, <br />staff's recommendation is to advertise and bid this work as a stand along <br />City project. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -12 -237 -AUTHORIZING THE <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE PIONEER PARK <br />DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reviewed his December 12, 2014 report relative to <br />the Verizon cell tower lease for the City's property at 53 South Owasso <br />Blvd. He noted that earlier this year the Council approved a Conditional <br />Use Permit for a second cell tower to be operated by Verizon on the 53 <br />South Owasso Blvd. property.
