MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 2014 <br />PRESIDENT MONTOUR AND ASSISTANT TREASURER HANSON <br />TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE EDA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-241— ADJOURNING AS THE <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND RECONVENING <br />THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PLANNING The City Clerk reported that the Planning Commission terms of office for <br />COMMISSION Scott Barraclough, Tom Fischer, and Jennifer Maleitzke expire on <br />December 31, 2014. Barraclough could not reapply given term limits, <br />Fischer was elected to the City Council beginning his term in 2015, and <br />Maleitzke did not apply for reappointment. The vacancies were advertised <br />for the Planning Commission, and the Clerk noted that a committee <br />interviewed the applicants. <br />Keis reported that he, Council Member McGraw, Tom Fischer as Chair of <br />the Planning Commission, and the City Administrator interviewed the <br />applicants for the Planning Commission vacancies. These applicants are <br />Bill Buesing, Al Davison, and Jeff Heikke. Keis indicated that all three <br />are well qualified to serve on the Commission, and it was the Committee's <br />recommendation that all be appointed to the Planning Commission. <br />McGraw noted that Heikke currently serves on the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission, but was informed that he could not serve on both <br />Commissions. Heikke has indicated that he would prefer to move to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-242 — APPOINTING THE FOLLOWING <br />INDIVIDUALS TO THREE-YEAR TERMS ON THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION COMMENCING JANUARY OF 2015: <br />BILL BUESING <br />AL DAVISON <br />20 <br />
