MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 15, 2014 JEFF HEIKKE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Clerk noted that the Planning Commission Ordinance provides that the Mayor recommend a Chair for the Commission, with the Council to act on the recommendation. The Vice Chair is chosen by the Commission. Given Mayor Blesener's absence, Mayor -Elect Keis recommended that Steve Ledin be appointed as the Planning Commission Chair for 2015. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-293 — APPOINTING STEVE LEDIN AS THE PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR FOR 2015 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PARKS & The City Clerk reported that the Parks & Recreation Commission terms RECREATION of office for Dave Miller and Patti Sullivan expire on December 31, 2014. COMMISSION Dave Miller has applied for reappointment, but Patti Sullivan did not. The vacancies were advertised for the Commission, and the Clerk noted that a committee interviewed the applicants. Keis reported that he, Council Member McGraw, Patti Sullivan as Chair of the Parks & Recreation Commission, and the Parks & Recreation Director interviewed Sharen Darling, an applicant for the Commission, while Dave Miller was not interviewed given his current service on the Commission. Keis indicated that the Committee felt both Dave Miller and Sharen Darling were well qualified and should be appointed to the Commission. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-249 — APPOINTING DAVE MILLER AND SHAREN DARLING TO THREE-YEAR TERMS ON THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION COMMENCING JANUARY OF 2015 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. 21
