MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 2014 <br />JEFF HEIKKE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Clerk noted that the Planning Commission Ordinance provides <br />that the Mayor recommend a Chair for the Commission, with the Council <br />to act on the recommendation. The Vice Chair is chosen by the <br />Commission. Given Mayor Blesener's absence, Mayor -Elect Keis <br />recommended that Steve Ledin be appointed as the Planning Commission <br />Chair for 2015. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-293 — APPOINTING STEVE LEDIN AS <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR FOR 2015 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARKS & The City Clerk reported that the Parks & Recreation Commission terms <br />RECREATION of office for Dave Miller and Patti Sullivan expire on December 31, 2014. <br />COMMISSION Dave Miller has applied for reappointment, but Patti Sullivan did not. The <br />vacancies were advertised for the Commission, and the Clerk noted that a <br />committee interviewed the applicants. <br />Keis reported that he, Council Member McGraw, Patti Sullivan as Chair <br />of the Parks & Recreation Commission, and the Parks & Recreation <br />Director interviewed Sharen Darling, an applicant for the Commission, <br />while Dave Miller was not interviewed given his current service on the <br />Commission. Keis indicated that the Committee felt both Dave Miller and <br />Sharen Darling were well qualified and should be appointed to the <br />Commission. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12-249 — APPOINTING DAVE MILLER <br />AND SHAREN DARLING TO THREE-YEAR TERMS ON THE <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION COMMENCING JANUARY <br />OF 2015 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />21 <br />
