Hanson <br />RE: Public Works Facility Budget Update, Award of Card Access Reader <br />Contractor, and Approval of Change Order for Gas Piping <br />The new Public Works facility is scheduled to be completed in late -April on the inside <br />and shortly after that on the outside depending on the weather. Staff has put together a <br />project budget update for the City Council to review. <br />Award of Card Access Readers and Door Contacts <br />Before getting to the budget there is one outstanding item for the Council to award. Terre <br />I-Ieiser from Roseville IT put together a plans and specifications for installation of card <br />reader access at doors and door contacts for all overhead doors. This system will serve as <br />the security system at the new facility along with some strategically placed cameras on <br />the outside of the building. Mr. IHIeiser solicited quotes from for contractors for the work <br />and the results are as follows: <br />Electro -Watchmen: $11,600 <br />Brothers Fire: $11,960 <br />Network Design: $13,050 <br />All Systems: $21,662 <br />Mr. I-Ieiser and staff recommend awarding the contract to Electro -Watchmen. They have <br />done work for Roseville IT in the past and Mr. Heiser reports that they have always done <br />a nice job. They are also the security company the City uses for the old Roseville <br />Plumbing building. The budget for the security system is $25,000 and the Electro - <br />Watchmen work is part of that budget. <br />1 <br />
