MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 24, 2007 <br />Blesener again acknowledged the other highly qualified candidates and <br />thanked them for their interest. <br />OATH OF The City Attorney administered the Oath of Office to Michael McGraw <br />OFFICE as Council Member of the City of Little Canada. <br />MINUTES Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-I-16 -APPROVING THE MINUTES OF <br />THE JANUARY 10, 2007 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND THE <br />JANUARY 17, 2007 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />CUP FOR Mayor Blesener opened the public hearing to consider a Conditional <br />AMENDMENT Use Permit for Amendment to the Comprehensive Sign Plan for the <br />TO COMP. Marketplace Shopping Center located at 2900 Rice Street. It was <br />SIGN PLAN - noted that the City Planner and the Planning Commission have <br />2900 RICE recommended approval of the plan. <br />STREET - <br />MARKETPLACE The Planner indicated that the interior space for Coliseum Billiards <br />SHOPPING has been subdivided, and Napa Auto Parts has located in the shopping <br />CENTER center. Given the location of Coliseum Billiv~ds in the shopping center <br />and the limited building frontage, an amendment to the Comprehensive <br />Sign Plan is necessary for the new Coliseum sign. The Planner indicated <br />that the signage for the Marketplace Shopping Center will still he under <br />the total maximum signage allowed. <br />The Planner reported that there maybe some additional space <br />reallocations at the shopping center in the next few months which will <br />require amendment to the Comprehensive Sign Plan. The Planner <br />suggested that one of the ways for addressing these amendments is to <br />allow for administrative approval provided that the maximum signage <br />square footage for the shopping center is not being exceeded, and as long <br />as the signage is within the sign band along the face of the shopping <br />center. <br />The Council agreed with the administrative processing of amendments to <br />the Comprehensive Sign Plan for the Marketplace Shopping Center as <br />outlined by the City Planner.
