MINU'CF,S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 24, 2007 <br />the existing pylon sign. The Planner indicated that it is his rmderstanding <br />the owners of the Marketplace Shopping Center are putting together a plan <br />for a new pylon. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Allan, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-I-17 -APPROVING TIIE AMENDMENT <br />TO COMPREHENSIVE SIGNPLAN FOR THE MARKET PLACE <br />SHOPPING CENTER AT 2900 RICE STREET AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY THE CITY PLANNER AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION, <br />AND ALLOWING FUTURE COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PLAN <br />AMENDMENTS FOR WALL SIGNAGE CHANGES/ADDITIONS AT <br />THE SHOPPING CENTER TO BE PROCESSED BY <br />ADMINISTRATIVE PERMIT PROVIDED THAT THE SIGNAGE IS <br />WITHIN THE SIGN BAND AREA AND MEETS CODE <br />REQUIREMENTS, AND SUGGESTING THAT THE PROPERTY <br />OWNER TAKE A SERIOUS LOOK AT REPLACING THE EXISTING <br />PYLONSIGNAT THE SHOPPING CENTER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PROPERTY The Mayor opened the public hearing to consider the division of 57 East <br />DIVISION - Bryan Street into two single-family lots. The City Plamrer and the <br />57 EAST Planning Commission recommended approval subject to conditions as <br />BRYAN STREET - outlined in the City Planner's reporC. <br />JIM BOSS <br /> Jim Boss reported that he would lilee to subdivide the property so that he <br /> caiz build a house on the new lot. The lot would be accessed via Boss <br /> Road. It was noted that the Council held an improvement hearing on <br /> Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at which the improvement of Boss Road was <br /> ordered. <br />Blescuer noted that Boss Road will be improved from Bryan Sheet and <br />will end in a cul-de-sac at the property line for the new lot. Blesener <br />asked if Boss agreed with the recommendations of the City Planner and <br />Plam~ing Commission relative to the lot split. Jim Boss replied that he <br />was in agreement. <br />
