Sonnack indicated that it was there goal to keep control
as much as possible and be ready and able to react quickly if there are any
problems. Sonnack stated that their security plan will include both inside
the facility and outside in the parking lot.
The Council then discussed the proposed conditions of the ordinance
amendment, and determined that one of the conditions that should be
added is that an On -Sale Restaurant -Event Center Intoxicating Liquor
License would not be eligible for a 2 A.M. Liquor License. The Council
also agreed that it was appropriate to eliminate the phrase "or for failure to
notify the City, in writing, of an Event". The City Clerk noted that The
Little Venetian holds an On -Sale Liquor License as well as a 2 A.M.
Liquor License and does operate a small event center under this licensing.
The Council felt that this was appropriate based on the fact that The Little
Venetian holds an On -Sale Liquor License.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-3-57 — APPROVING THE AMENDMENT
TO CHAPTER 703 OF THE CITY'S LIQUOR CODE AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY IN HIS MARCH 18,
2015 REPORT ELIMINATING THE PHRASE "OR FOR FAILURE
TO NOTIFY THE CITY, IN WRITING, OF AN EVENT" AND
ADDING A CONDITION THAT THE ON -SALE INTOXICATING
RESTAURANT -EVENT CENTER LICENSE CANNOT BE HELD IN
CONJUNCTION WITH A 2 A.M.
