MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 2015 <br />Administrator indicated that this might not necessarily be the case. He <br />again noted how late it is in the bidding season which would likely result <br />in high bid amounts. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-104 — DELAYING THE 2015 <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS UNTIL 2016 AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-105 — APPROVING THE CONTRACT <br />WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR THE CENTER VILLE ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENT AS AMENDED AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator reported that a notice will be sent to the impacted <br />property owners informing them of the delay in the projects with the plan <br />to proceed in 2016. <br />FACEBOOK The City Administrator reported that with the City's recent involvement in <br />the City-wide garage sale, Council Member Torkelson provided <br />invaluable assistance in coordinating the program. In promoting the <br />program, Torkelson established a Facebook account. <br />The Administrator reported that as some of the Council will recall, the use <br />of social media was evaluated back in 2012 based on the Goal Setting <br />Session held that year. At that time the Council chose not to pursue a <br />presence on Facebook, but felt that the City should do a periodic review to <br />see if conditions warrant a change in this approach. <br />Torkelson reported that in advertising the garage sale, he created a <br />Facebook account for the City. He indicated that he has since added <br />postings to the site noting these are examples of how the site could be <br />10 <br />
