He again noted how late it is in the bidding season which would likely result in high bid amounts. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-104 — DELAYING THE 2015 IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS UNTIL 2016 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-105 — APPROVING THE CONTRACT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR THE CENTER VILLE ROAD IMPROVEMENT AS AMENDED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The Administrator reported that a notice will be sent to the impacted property owners informing them of the delay in the projects with the plan to proceed in 2016. FACEBOOK The City Administrator reported that with the City's recent involvement in the City-wide garage sale, Council Member Torkelson provided invaluable assistance in coordinating the program. In promoting the program, Torkelson established a Facebook account. The Administrator reported that as some of the Council will recall, the use of social media was evaluated back in 2012 based on the Goal Setting Session held that year. At that time the Council chose not to pursue a presence on Facebook, but felt that the City should do a periodic review to see if conditions warrant a change in this approach. Torkelson reported that in advertising the garage sale, he created a Facebook account for the City.
