MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 28, 2007 B USINESS AT 27 LITTLE CANADA ROAD, THUNDER BAY PLAZA AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY PLANNER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-11-300 - APPROVING A MASSAGE THERAPY BUSINESS LICENSE TO JILL ANDERT, DBA AS SHAWNEE SOAPMAKER AND INTUITION MASSAGE, AT 27 LITTLE CANADA ROAD, THUNDER BAY PLAZA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-11-301-APPROVINGAMASSAGE THERAPIST LICENSE FOR JILL ANDERT, DBA AS SHAWNEE SOAPMAKER AND INTUITION MASSAGE, AT 27 LITTLE CANADA ROAD, THUNDER BAY PLAZA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. SUP FOR Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider application for a HOME Special Use Permit for a Home Occupation consisting of firearms OCCUPATION - engraving as requested by Ryan Buck at 3040 LaBore Road. The City 3040 Planner and the Planning Commission have recommended approval of LABORE ROAD - this permit with the condition that there be no retail sales of firearms. RYAN BUCK The City Planner indicated that the home occupation proposed would require a Special Use Permit. He noted that the City's review authority for these types of permits is generally after the first year and then at three year intervals. He noted that the Planning Commission felt the home occupation proposed was appropriate and would meet the City's requirements. The applicant has indicated that it is a low volume business, there would be no retail sales, and the delivery of goods to be engraved would be via UPS.
