MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 23, 2008 <br />indicated that there was some confusion at the Planning Commission <br />relative to the prior vacation of Jackson Street at the southeast corner of <br />the plat. The City Engineer has checked the St. Jude survey and found it <br />to be accurate. It was noted that a copy of the Engineer's report was <br />mailed to the property owner that raised the concern. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Allan, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-4-106 -APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT <br />FOR THE ST. JUDE MEDICAL CORPORATE CAMPUS SUBJECT <br />TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />CITY PLANNER AND THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ZONING Mayor Blesener opened the public hearing to consider an amendment to <br />ORDINANCE the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance by provided for amended regulations <br />AMENDMENT within the Light Industrial (I-1) District. It was noted that the Planning <br />I-I DISTRICT Commission has recommended approval of the amendments including the <br />allowance for off-site outdoor storage subject to specific conditions. The <br />Mayor noted that the City has been studying the issue of outdoor storage <br />in the I-1 District for approximately 1 YZ years, and noted that progression <br />the Council has taken on the issue. <br />The City Planner acknowledged the numerous workshops that have been <br />held to study the I-1 District standards. He pointed out the most recent <br />changes proposed include: <br />o The creation of a Salvage Vehicle Repair License to <br />address those vehicle repair businesses which <br />repair/reconstruct salvage vehicles utilizing clips of <br />vehicles. This class of license is proposed to be limited to <br />four such licenses, and eliminates the need to limit the <br />number of major auto repair licenses as had been <br />contemplated earlier. <br />o The second recent change would allow for off-site outdoor <br />storage via interim use permit.
